I hate to leave a bad review, but I honestly wasnât happy:
5 stars âď¸ to the guy on reception: SO nice, warm and welcoming. Nice vibes in the place- liked the laid-back decor. was thinking âoh, I like this place!â
But, as regards my cut:
I appreciate itâs a hugely busy time of year. I have fine hair and had a long bob, which had grown out. I asked for a blunt trim to ends of my hair, thatâs it, and I was very clear that I did NOT want any layers except at the very ends, as my hair is fine and prone to curl. I also said (and physically showed) that I wanted roughly 1 inch off maximum. Just to clear split ends.
What I got: approx 2 inches off, and face framing layers, AND layers at the back of my hair.
I hadnât noticed as Iâd had my eyes closed due to my hair being in front of them a lot. So not only have I lost length, but volume too!!!
I am SO disappointed- less than 1 hour later it looked awful- all the layers looked so messy and began to curl and kink. This is the kind of hairstyle that needs a lot of product.
The stylist said he âtook the weight out of my hair, to add volumeâ , but I specifically asked him NOT to do this. It is limp and lifeless. I also hate the length itâs literally like a bob- the style is very Rachel from Friends- NOT a good look!
All in all, I know it will grow back, but I hate it as it is. In order to make it look any way decent, I will have to spend time styling it every day. And even then- it is NOT what I asked for! Itâs already tied back- and I suspect that will be my go to look until it grows đ
They were crazy busy- and I appreciate that- but at one point a comb was used in my hair that had someone elseâs hair in it- NOT the previous customer, who was blonde. The stylist tapped out the hair and used it in mine!!!!!
I am so sorry I got my hair cut at all.
if I had requested this, then that would be on me.
But I very clearly asked for NO layers. I know what works for me. Layers look awful.
