I had a good experience but was charged €40 for a toner which is quite expensive so probably will not be returning
Probably the best, most natural blonde highlights I've ever had and my blow dry was also perfect. Very impressed.
The salon is really cool with a great vibe. I was offered tea as soon as I arrived. My appointment started 20 mins late and I received no explanation or apology. They didn’t have a great range of colours so I used one which I had tried before. When one hand was applied the colour was not block-you could see through to the nail, it was blotchy and not good enough. I pointed this out so the manicurist started again with a different colour. This was much better (I insisted she use three coats rather than two). However, my nailbed started bleeding as the cuticles were cut too far back. I pointed this out and the manicurist dealt with it using sterilising gel but again, no apology. I would not return here for nails but the hair services looked great.
Just perfect
The studio is tucked away into a little street in Ranelagh - off the main street, but still easy to find. There were no bike racks, and limited parking. Studio was cute and clean. I was offered tea or coffee upon arrival. I had booked an appointment online earlier in the day. Since the system was so easy to use, I expected the same at the salon. After I was seated, I was told I'd have to wait a few minutes. No big deal. After 30 minutes had passed, a stylist came up to me and I started telling her what I wanted. She became obviously confused and left to talk to someone else. Another employee comes back to tell me there's been a mistake, she's not my stylist. After waiting for 40 minutes (for an eyebrow appointment), a stylist comes to me and takes me to a separate room. This room was clean and quiet, no complaints there. I had several pictures of what I wanted, pictures of me taken a few months ago the last time I had had an eyebrow wax showing exactly what I wanted. The hairdresser looked at one photo for several seconds, said ok and she got to work. I was surprised but went along with it. In the end, they didn't come out the way I had wanted. I was charged extra for tinting, thinking it would help the shape I was so unhappy with if they were darker. The staff was friendly enough, the place was clean, but I felt that I wasn't well looked after or listened to throughout the experience. I was looking for a studio close by that I liked so I could return for other services but I will be looking for an alternative.
