We’ve come a long way from the back, sack and crack. Men are officially choosing to sharpen up body hair from head to toe. We know this how? Because our male waxing bookings are up 50% in the last few years. So, know, chaps that you’re not alone in mission manscape. Here’s our guide on where we’re shifting the hair.
-
1 The brows
Male eyebrow hair grows two times longer than females'. A few rogue hairs are easy enough to deal with at home but a hefty monobrow proves a little trickier. If you're not feeling the 'preened' look, worry not, male threading and waxing tends to be about dealing with stray hairs (if you do want an arch, just ask).
-
2 The ears
Ear hair is a hard one to fix with a mirror and tweezers, so turn to the salon if you’re after a neaten-up. Many barbers now remove ear hair as part of a haircut (some even burn it away with a technique called ‘singeing’) – short back and sides, with baby-soft earlobes? Game-changer.
-
3 The feet
Turns out, excess hair on the toes can be a sign of an excellent circulatory system (fact). That said, should you wish to strip it off, waxing is your best bet. If you’re taking bare feet literally, then you might want to think about extending your wax upwards to include your pins.

4 The 'area'
If you’re ready to tackle below the waistband, then it’s good to know which styles are on offer. Some waxes, like the Brozilian, will leave you with a trim triangle, while the Hollywood takes no prisoners – removing all hair for a completely bare front and back.
-
5 The back
There’s no need to hate on a hairy back. Embrace that extra layer, gents. But should you get a little too warm come summertime, waxing is king for hair control. Reaching the root of the hair and pulling clean from the follicle means hair is sure to grow back thinner and sparser over time. You’ll be smooth for up to two months at a time (your back, we mean).
