Pre-2011, my eyebrows were the part of my body I thought about least – I’d pluck them (to near-baldness, according to my #10YearChallenge) and that was that. And then Cara Delevigne came along and eyebrows – and, more importantly, my lack of – bolted into my consciousness. Since then, I’ve grown them out, filled them in, waxed, tinted, threaded, all to mild success (the gauge of success is bushy-ness, in this case). Until now – enter, brow lamination.

1 What is eyebrow lamination?
It's like a keratin treatment, or LVL – but for your brows. The treatment originates from Russia and takes around 1 hour in total. It sets the hairs so that they all lie in the same direction to give the appearance of bushier, just-brushed brows. Dreamy. The best bit? It’s vegan and cruelty-free.

2 What's the process?
There are two different solutions – the first softens eyebrow hair and prepares them for lamination while the second restructures the hair to keep them in place. The solutions are brushed through the brow and left on for twenty minutes (making sure they stay in the desired shape). Finally, a wax and tint adds definition.

3 Who can get it?
If you’re blessed (yes, blessed) with naturally bushy brows that are too unruly for brow gel, try lamination – it’s the master tamer. If your brows are still suffering from the 00s thin brow trend (like mine), then lamination can add some serious volume. Thick or thin, it doesn’t discriminate.

4 What will my brows look like afterwards?
I was literally speechless (a rarity) when I saw the results. Where had all this hair been hiding? My brows are much fuller and far more structured. Like soap brows, without the effort. A strong brow makes me look so much more put-together with no make-up and I’ve had so many compliments already. Personally, I’m hooked.

5 How do I look after them?
Don’t get your brows wet for at least 24 hours after your treatment. The same applies to make-up, creams and oils. Let that solution do its thing. The process can be drying so apply a little oil every day – coconut oil will do – to keep them hydrated. The results should last around a month.
